Having just received it yesterday I can't comment on its durability, but mine did show at least one fragile item. I pressed the reset button very slightly and it broke off and fell inside. Granted, I did not use the stylus but a pin. Luckily the reset button is not necessary as you can always turn it off.
The directions for turning it off were misleading, since you have to hold the on/off switch for several seconds. I finally realized this.
One annoying 'feature' is how quickly the screen blanks when not touching the screen.
One complaint I've read several times is that there is no place to store the stylus. Another is that it feels more like buttons rather than a touch screen. I found that the stylus is not necessary, that touching it with your fingernail, very lightly, works the same. Between my fingernail and the + and - buttons, it is very easy to maneuver.
Files are very easily downloaded with explorer, just like to any drive. You can arrange them in folders for easy organization, and it finds them by file type with no problem.
For video, even though its name makes you think it handles mp4 files, it only played the mp4 sound, and stopped before it was completed. I converted my mp4 to flv on my PC and downloaded the flv file. The flv played properly.
I haven't tried e-book or games yet, but music, videos, and photos (my reason for getting it) work well. I often have trouble getting FM reception inside so when the radio was just static inside that does not bother me. I haven't tried outside yet.
The instruction booklet refers to a camera, but there is none on my menu. That may be for a different model.
For its price of $40 it has good features. Hopefully it will survive.
